  • Trek passes through few ancient villages which still follow the traditional mode of living & worship Kaurav & Pandavas of Mahabharata as their main deity.


Short Itinerary for Har Ki Dun Trek

  • Day 01: Drive Haridwar/Dehradun to Sankri (230 Kms/10 hours approx)
  • Day 02: Sankri - Taluka (Drive 12 Kms) & Taluka - Seema (Trek 12 Kms/5 hrs approx)
  • Day 03: Seema to Harkidun- (Trek 14 km/ 6 hours approx)
  • Day 04: Harkidun - Jaundhar Glacier - Har ki Dun
  • Day 05: Har ki dun – Seema (Trek 14 km/05 hrs approx)
  • Day 06: Seema- Taluka (12 kms trek/04 hrs approx) Taluka- Sankri (Drive 12 Kms).
  • Day 07: Drive from Sankri to onward destination


Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Drive Haridwar/Dehradun to Sankri (230 Kms/08 hours approx)
Pick up from Haridwar/Dehradun railway station & drive to Sankri via Mussorie, Purola, Mori and Netwar. Sanskri is base camp for trek. Sankri is a small village situated at lofty hillock with magnificent views of snow capped peaks. Evening free to explore the place. Overnight stay in hotel/Guest house.

Day 02: Sankri - Taluka (Drive 12 Kms) & Taluka - Seema (Trek 12 Kms/5 hours approx)
After early breakfast you will be driven to Taluka village, base camp for trek to Seema village. It is easy trek through the forest & terrains along with river flowing on one side. Seema is small village with few shops & houses. You will reach Seema by late afternoon so you are left with some time to relax & enjoy the evening with bonfire, local folklore, traditional music & songs. Stay at theTent.

Day 03: Seema to Harkidoon- (Trek 14 km/ 6 hours approx)
At morning start trek from campsite to Har ki doon by cross over the Supin river with gradual rising trail passing through terrace fields, Cedar & pine forest & multiple streams. The region comes under Govind National park which houses variety of fauna & flora. You might encounter some Himalayas wild species like barking deer, Bharal, Blue Sheep, Bear or Leopard too. By afternoon we will reach the campsite. Har ki doon is situated at foothill of Swargarohini. You can enjoy the fabulous views of the Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini peaks from here. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the sheer beauty of the nature.

Day 04: Harkidoon - Jaundhar Glacier - Har ki Dun (15 Kms Trek)
You can spend the day while exploring the campsite or can opt for some more trek to Jaundhar Glacier. The trail goes on through the steep ascending surface & strenuous terrain. At the top, you can spot some glorious glacier view. Return back at your campsite.

Day 05: Har ki dun – Seema (Trek 14 km/05 hrs approx)
After breakfast start for long downhill trek to Seema though easy one through the steeper & uneven surface. Along the trek you will find rich forest region hosting the numerous of wild animals & various bird species. Night halt at the Camp.

Day 06:  Seema- Taluka (12 kms trek/04 hrs approx) Taluka- Sankri (12 kms by road)
After breakfast begin trek down to Taluka & by afternoon reach Taluka. On arrival board the vehicle for Sankri. Overnight stay in the hotel/Guest house.

Day 07: Sankri Departure
After breakfast begin drive for onward destination.
