About
Begin your royal Rajasthan journey in Jaipur, the Pink City — a living museum of Mughal and Rajput grandeur. Explore the magnificent Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched dramatically on the Aravalli hills, and continue to Jaigarh Fort for sweeping panoramic views. The second day brings the walled city's cultural heart — City Palace with its royal apartments and collection, the astronomical marvel of Jantar Mantar, and the iconic Hawa Mahal, followed by the vibrant bazaars of Johari and Bapu. Shopping here is an experience in itself — precious gemstones, block-printed textiles, lac bangles, and blue pottery line the lanes of one of India's most colour-saturated cities.
From Jaipur, drive into the wild heart of Rajasthan at Ranthambore, one of India's finest tiger reserves and the setting for some of the most dramatic wildlife photography in the country. Two full private jeep safaris on Day 4 — morning and afternoon — offer the best possible chances of a tiger encounter across ten safari zones. Beyond tigers, Ranthambore holds leopards, sloth bears, marsh mugger crocodiles, jackals, and over 300 species of birds. The 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, rising from the forest itself, is a UNESCO-listed ruin of uncommon atmosphere.
The journey concludes at Agra, home to the world's most celebrated monument. Arriving at the Taj Mahal at sunrise — before the crowds, in the first golden light — is a moment that stays with travellers for a lifetime. A private guide ensures you experience not just the structure but the stories: Shah Jahan's grief, the 22 years of construction, the marble quarried from Makrana. Agra Fort and the riverside Mehtab Bagh, which frames a perfect sunset view of the Taj across the Yamuna, complete the Mughal picture. Throughout this journey, all travel is in a private air-conditioned vehicle with a dedicated driver, and every sightseeing stop is led by a private expert guide.

Today is dedicated entirely to Ranthambore — the full safari day that most guests remember longest. The morning safari begins before sunrise, with your private jeep and wildlife naturalist departing in the blue-grey light that precedes dawn. Ranthambore's tigers are most active at this hour, frequently seen walking dry riverbeds, resting near Padam Talao, Malik Talao, and Raj Bagh Talao, or marking their territories with scent and scratch. Your naturalist tracks pug marks, monitors the alarm calls of langurs and spotted deer, and reads the landscape for fresh signs of big-cat movement. Beyond tigers, the reserve holds a healthy leopard population, Indian sloth bears, marsh mugger crocodiles sunning on lake edges, sambar, chital, nilgai, and Indian wild boar. The afternoon safari covers different zones, offering a second complete canvas of forest. Between the two drives, lunch and rest at the resort. This is the day the jungle either delivers or keeps its secrets — either way, the experience of two private safaris inside one of India's finest protected areas is irreplaceable. Overnight at Ranthambore.

En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of exceptional historical significance. Built in 1571 by Emperor Akbar as his new imperial capital, it was abandoned barely fifteen years later — leaving behind an almost perfectly preserved Mughal ghost city in red sandstone. Walk through the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), the Panch Mahal, the Jodha Bai Palace, and the Buland Darwaza — the largest gateway in the world, erected to commemorate Akbar's Gujarat campaign. Your private guide brings each structure to life with the stories of Akbar's extraordinary court: Birbal, Tansen, and the Navaratnas of one of the most cosmopolitan empires in history. Continue to Agra for hotel check-in, followed by a leisurely evening before the Taj Mahal visit. Overnight in Agra.

Stay: Same luxury hotel, Agra — Night 6.
Rise before dawn for the experience that defines this entire journey: the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Arriving at the East Gate before the crowds, in the first light of morning that turns the white marble from grey-gold to blazing ivory, is among the most striking visual experiences available to any traveller in the world. Your private guide walks you through the full complex — the outer gateway, the Mughal garden axis, the reflecting pool, the plinth, and the interior of the mausoleum — sharing the history of Shah Jahan's 22-year commission, the 20,000 workers from across Asia, the semi-precious stone pietra dura inlay work, and the deliberate optical illusions built into the structure. After the Taj, continue to Agra Fort, a UNESCO-listed Mughal royal residence of immense scale where Aurangzeb imprisoned his father Shah Jahan in the Musamman Burj tower — a room with a direct view of the Taj Mahal, across which the emperor is said to have spent his final years gazing at his wife's tomb. In the afternoon, visit Itmad-ud-Daula (the Baby Taj), the Persian-garden tomb known for its delicate marble inlay work that preceded and directly influenced the Taj. End the day at Mehtab Bagh, the Moonlit Garden across the Yamuna, for the finest sunset silhouette view of the Taj. Overnight in Agra.

AGRA DEPARTURE | SIKANDRA EN ROUTE
Route: Agra – Sikandra (Akbar's Tomb) – Agra Airport / Delhi (approx. 230 Kms / 3.5 Hrs to Delhi)
Travel: Private AC vehicle for final departure transfer to Agra Airport / Delhi Airport / Delhi Railway Station.
Stay: —
After breakfast and checkout, stop at Sikandra before departure — the magnificent tomb of Emperor Akbar, located 10 km from Agra. Unlike the white marble formality of the Taj, Akbar's tomb is a bold five-storey structure in red sandstone and white marble set within a vast Mughal garden, reflecting Akbar's own syncretic character: Mughal arches sit alongside Hindu temple motifs, Buddhist kiosks, and Christian crosses on a building that the emperor himself is said to have designed before his death. It is a deeply personal monument — and one that rarely receives the attention it deserves. After Sikandra, your driver will proceed towards Agra Airport for short-haul departures, or continue to Delhi (approximately 230 km / 3.5 hours) for onwards flights, trains, or connections. This concludes your Rajasthan Royal Family Tour — seven days moving from the pink forts of the Rajput kingdoms, through India's finest tiger forest, to the white marble masterpiece of the Mughal empire.
Experience of the Day
Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra — grand, syncretic, and rarely crowded; an honest complement to the Taj
The complete royal arc closes: Rajput Jaipur, wild Ranthambore, Mughal Agra
A comfortable, well-paced final day with flexibility for departure timing
Optional Nearby Excursions
Dayal Bagh (Agra) — a living temple under continuous construction for over a century
Agra Cantonment Railway Station — for direct train connections to Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi
Delhi: Qutub Minar or Humayun's Tomb for guests with a Delhi overnight extension
