About
Most Rajasthan trips are all forts and palaces. This one gives you a real chance to see a wild tiger too.
Over nine days, you travel from the Pink City of Jaipur to the lakes of Udaipur, with two nights in Ranthambore National Park and four open-jeep safaris along the way. Then you continue through Bundi, a quiet palace town most visitors never see, and the vast hilltop fort of Chittorgarh. Your own driver and guide stay with you throughout, and your safari jeep is booked for your party alone.
What is this Rajasthan tiger safari tour?
It is a private 9-day tour of Rajasthan from Jaipur to Udaipur that includes four tiger safaris in Ranthambore National Park, plus Bundi, Chittorgarh Fort and three nights in Udaipur. Safaris are in an open six-seat jeep booked just for you. Tiger sightings are never guaranteed, but four drives give you a strong spread of chances. Prices start from about Rs. 1,51,900 per person (twin share, Premium tier). The tour runs October to June.
This is a Rajasthan tiger safari tour and a Ranthambore safari extension for guests building a longer trip, and it can follow or precede a Golden Triangle or Delhi to Jaipur journey. It works as an India wildlife tour package for a couple, a family or friends, as a Jaipur Ranthambore Udaipur itinerary of 9 days, and as a Rajasthan tiger safari package with heritage hotels. Guests searching for a Ranthambore national park tour from Jaipur, a tiger safari in India with forts and lakes, or a Rajasthan wildlife and palaces tour can book it as it stands or ask for changes.
Three tiers change the hotels. Premium uses well-reviewed heritage hotels and a safari lodge. Luxury uses Jai Mahal Palace, Oberoi Vanyavilas and The Leela Palace Udaipur. Ultra-Luxury uses Rambagh Palace, Aman-i-Khás and The Oberoi Udaivilas. Hotels can be changed city by city, and some tented camps close in the hot months.
Who This Tour Is For

Second-time visitors to India looking for places beyond the usual circuit, like Bundi.

The Ranthambore Tiger Safari: What to Expect
Ranthambore is one of the best parks in India for seeing tigers in daylight, sometimes walking past lakes and old palace walls. But they are wild animals, and every drive is different. Here are the facts before you book.
Can you guarantee a tiger sighting?
No, and nobody honestly can. Some guests see a tiger on their first drive. Others see leopards, sloth bears, deer, crocodiles and wonderful birdlife, but no tiger. The park does not publish sighting rates, so we don’t quote percentages.
Why four safaris?
Each drive is a fresh chance. Four drives over three days, mixing mornings and afternoons, give you more time in the forest and different light and conditions. More drives improve your odds, but they still can’t make a sighting certain.
How the zones work
Ranthambore has ten safari zones. Zones 1 to 5 form the core area and are the busiest; zones 6 to 10 are in the buffer area. The forest department assigns your zone for each drive, and nobody can choose it. We book as early as the official portal allows and tell you each zone once it is confirmed.
Your safari vehicle
Info: Gypsy (this tour) - Center
Type: Open six-seat jeep - Open 20-seat truck-style vehicle
Shared?: No: booked for your party only - Yes, with other visitors
Experience: Quieter, more flexible, better for photos - Busier, less flexible
A trained forest guide rides with you on every drive. If the park cancels a drive for weather or a closure, we help to rebook where the portal allows, and refunds follow the park’s rules.
Why Bundi and Chittorgarh?
The drive from Ranthambore straight to Udaipur takes seven to eight hours. Rather than spending a whole day in the car, we break it with a night in Bundi and a stop at Chittorgarh.
Bundi is a small, unhurried palace town with blue-washed lanes, beautiful painted chambers and some of Rajasthan’s finest stepwells. Few first-time visitors make it here.
Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in Rajasthan, spread across a hilltop with palaces, towers and temples, and one of the six forts in the UNESCO Hill Forts of Rajasthan listing.
The result: no day has more than about six hours of driving, and the journey itself becomes part of the trip.

Rajasthan Nature & Tiger Safari Combo 3-Tier Pricing Summary
Rates are indicative and modelled on BizareXpedition’s current package pricing reference, not a live quote or a contracted rate. The final price varies within the range with hotel and safari availability on your dates, and is highest around Christmas, New Year and Diwali, and in the peak tiger months of April to June.
WHY BOOK THIS WITH BIZAREXPEDITION
Guests who add a tiger safari to a Rajasthan trip want clear facts about the safaris, a road that does not drain the days, and hotels that suit both forest and city. Here is how this route delivers each one.
Four safaris, planned and booked for you. The plan has an afternoon drive on Day 3, a morning and an afternoon drive on Day 4, and a morning drive on Day 5. Our team books the vehicles on the official park portal and confirms the zones before you travel. The forest department assigns the zones, and we tell you each one as soon as we know it.
Straight facts about tigers. A section below sets out the safari timings, the zone system, the park’s closure in the monsoon and what a sighting depends on. Nobody can promise a tiger, and the plan is built to give you the widest spread of drives we can book.
A road broken into sensible days. The long run from Ranthambore to Udaipur is split by a night in Bundi and a stop at Chittorgarh Fort. No day has more than about six hours of driving.
One private vehicle with bottled water on board. The same driver and car stay with you for all nine days. Sealed bottled water is in the car every day, and the guide keeps a first-aid kit and your hotel addresses in one place.
Easy to join to a longer trip. The tour starts in Jaipur and ends at Udaipur airport, so it slots in after a Golden Triangle journey or ahead of a flight home from Udaipur. We can plan the connecting transfers or flights for you.
Direct ground operator. BizareXpedition Services Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U63090UR2016PTC007433), based in Haridwar, runs this route itself, with hotels, vehicle and guides booked directly, and a 24-hour contact number is shared before you land.
THE TIGER SAFARI: WHAT TO EXPECT
Ranthambore is one of the better-known parks in India for seeing tigers by day, and tigers there are sometimes seen walking near lakes and old walls. They are wild animals, so every drive is different. These are the facts that decide what you see.
No guarantee. No tour company, lodge or park can promise a sighting. Some guests see a tiger on the first drive, and some see leopard, sloth bear, sambar, crocodile and many birds but no tiger. Estimates of the chance per drive vary widely between tour companies, and the park does not publish a sighting rate, so we do not quote a percentage.
Why four drives. Each drive is a separate chance. Four drives over three days means a quiet drive is followed by another within hours, and you see the park in morning and afternoon light. More drives raise your chances, and they still do not make a sighting certain.
Zones are random. The park has ten numbered zones. Zones 1 to 5 are the core area and are the busiest, and zones 6 to 10 are in the buffer area. The forest department assigns a zone for each booked drive, and neither guests nor lodges choose it. Our team books as early as the portal allows.
The vehicle. Safaris run in open six-seat jeeps called gypsies, or in 20-seat canters. This plan uses a gypsy booked for the whole vehicle, so you are not sharing with strangers. A trained forest guide rides along on every drive.
Season and timing. The park is closed from July to September for the monsoon and reopens on 1 October. Drives run in the early morning and in the afternoon, and the exact hours are set by the park and change by month. April to June is often cited as the best time at waterholes, but days can pass 40°C. October to March is cooler and greener, with sightings less frequent but still possible.
What we do on our side. We book the best-available drives, keep rest periods between them, and help to rebook where the portal allows if the park cancels a drive for weather or a closure. Any refund follows the park’s own rules.

Cameras.
Bring a zoom lens if you have one. Tigers are often seen at a distance, and the guide positions the vehicle but cannot get closer than the park rules allow. Drones are not permitted in the park.
Pace and long days.
Day 6 is the longest, with about six hours on the road plus stops at Bundi and Chittorgarh. Jaipur to Ranthambore and Ranthambore to Bundi are about three and a half to four hours each.
Water and food.
Drink only sealed bottled water, and use it to brush your teeth. Avoid ice and tap water. Eat freshly cooked, hot food, and skip salads and unpeeled raw fruit. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy needs are noted at booking.

See your doctor or a travel clinic four to six weeks before departure about routine and travel vaccinations. BizareXpedition does not give medical advice. Bring your usual medicines, oral rehydration salts and a basic stomach kit.
Dress and monuments.
Light, loose clothing that covers shoulders and knees suits the weather and the temples. Bring a scarf for temples. Shoes come off at some religious sites.
Approaches from strangers.
Near monuments and in markets, people may offer to guide you, sell you something or steer you to a shop. You can say no politely and keep walking. Your guide walks with you, so you never have to negotiate on your own.
Money, phone and internet.
Carry a small amount of rupees for tips and small purchases. Cards work at hotels and larger shops. Wi-Fi is available at many hotels, and the lodge may have a weak signal in the forest.
Visa.
Citizens of many Western countries apply online for an India e-Tourist visa at indianvisaonline.gov.in. Apply well before you fly, and check the current rules and fees for your nationality, since they can change.
Tipping.
Tips for the driver, guide, safari staff and hotel staff are at your discretion. A common range is Rs.500–1,000 per day for the driver and guide combined, and small change for hotel porters.

Itinerary (Day Wise)
Most trips to Rajasthan are about forts and palaces. This one gives you a fair shot at a wild tiger as well. After a day in Jaipur at Amber Fort, the City Palace and an artisan family’s block-printing workshop, you drive out to Ranthambore for two nights and four open-jeep safaris, just your party with a forest guide. You might see a tiger on the first drive, or you might not, but with four drives at different times of day you’ll get a real feel for the forest: leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles by the lakes, old walls in the trees. You’ll also climb up to the fort inside the park. Instead of one long, tiring drive to Udaipur, you stop for a night in Bundi, a quiet town of blue lanes and stepwells that few visitors ever reach, and spend a few hours at the huge Chittorgarh Fort on the way. The last three days are slower, in Udaipur, with the City Palace, the Garden of the Maidens and a boat out on Lake Pichola as the sun goes down.

A named driver and guide meet you on arrival with a name board and take you to the hotel. Sealed bottled water is in the car. Check in and rest.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) & People Also Ask — Rajasthan Nature & Tiger Safari Combo
We help you prepare for your trip and ensure an effortless and enjoyable travel experience.
Will we see a tiger?
Nobody can promise it. Ranthambore is one of the better parks in India for seeing tigers by day, and this plan has four safaris over three days to give you more chances. Some guests see a tiger on the first drive, and some see other animals and no tiger. The park does not publish a sighting rate, so we do not quote a percentage.
How many safaris are included, and in what vehicle?
Four: the afternoon of Day 3, the morning and afternoon of Day 4, and the morning of Day 5. They run in an open six-seat gypsy booked for the whole vehicle, so it is just your party with a forest guide and a driver. Extra safaris can be added if the portal has availability.
Can we choose the safari zone?
No. The park has ten zones, and the forest department assigns one for each booked drive. Zones 1 to 5 are the core area, and zones 6 to 10 are in the buffer area. Our team books as early as the portal allows and tells you each zone when it is confirmed.
Can this be added to a Golden Triangle or heritage trip?
Yes. It starts in Jaipur and ends at Udaipur airport, so it joins easily after a Delhi, Agra and Jaipur journey. We can plan the transfer from Delhi and the flight home from Udaipur or onward.
When is the best time to see tigers?
April to June is often cited as the best time at waterholes, but days can pass 40°C. October to March is cooler and greener, and sightings are less frequent but still possible. The park is closed from July to September.
What happens if a safari is cancelled?
The park can cancel drives for weather or a closure. We help to rebook where the portal allows, and refunds follow the park’s own rules, which we explain at booking.
How long are the drives?
Jaipur to Ranthambore is about three and a half to four hours, and Ranthambore to Bundi about three and a half. Day 6 is the longest, with about six hours including Bundi and Chittorgarh stops. Udaipur to the airport is about 45 minutes.
Why is there a night in Bundi?
Ranthambore to Udaipur is seven to eight hours by road. The Bundi night splits it into two manageable days and adds a quiet palace town with a stepwell that few first-time visitors see.
Is it a private tour or a group tour?
It is a private tour with your own car, driver and guide, with no coaches. Your party is the only one in the vehicle, including on safari.
What kind of hotels will we stay in?
Premium uses well-reviewed heritage hotels and a safari lodge. Luxury names Jai Mahal Palace, Oberoi Vanyavilas and The Leela Palace Udaipur, and Ultra-Luxury names Rambagh Palace, Aman-i-Khás and The Oberoi Udaivilas. Hotel names are subject to availability, and tented camps close in the hot months.
Is India safe for first-time visitors?
