About

This is a private 11-day Kerala Goa Puducherry tour package for travellers who love the sea. You start in historic Fort Kochi, relax on quiet Marari Beach with a day cruise on the Alleppey backwaters, spend three nights in South Goa, then finish with three nights in the French seaside town of Puducherry (Pondicherry). Two short flights replace the long roads, no drive is longer than about five hours, and it costs from about INR 221,760 per person.

India has two very different coastlines. On the west, the Arabian Sea washes palm-lined beaches in Kerala and Goa. On the east, the Bay of Bengal meets the old French town of Puducherry. Most beach holidays pick just one. This trip gives you three, each with its own mood.

In Kerala, you get quiet sand, fishing villages and the famous backwaters. In Goa, you get long beaches, beach shacks and Portuguese churches. In Puducherry, you get a breezy seafront promenade, yellow French villas and fresh croissants. Between them, you see a little culture, eat wonderfully, and spend plenty of time doing very little by the sea.

Who This Beach Holiday Is For

  • Beach lovers who want variety rather than one resort for the whole holiday

  • Couples and honeymooners looking for sea views, sunsets and slow days

  • Families who prefer short drives and hotels with pools

  • Travellers who want rest with a bit of culture: churches, a shore temple, a French quarter and Kathakali

  • Food lovers keen to try Kerala fish curry, Goan vindaloo and Pondicherry's Franco-Tamil cooking

It is less suited to travellers wanting hill stations, wildlife or a packed sightseeing programme. We can add Munnar or Hampi if you want more variety.

The Places You Will Explore

Fort Kochi: a harbour full of history

You start in Fort Kochi, a port shaped by Portuguese, Dutch and British traders. Your hotel sits right on the waterfront, and at dusk you can watch fishermen work the giant Chinese fishing nets. The next morning, you visit the Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace, with its Ramayana murals, and the spice warehouses and antique shops of Jew Town, home to the Paradesi Synagogue of 1568. If you arrive in time, we book a Kathakali performance, so you can watch the dancers paint their faces before the show.

Marari Beach and the Alleppey backwaters

A short drive brings you to Marari, a fishing village with a long, peaceful beach and a resort set among coconut palms. Here the pace slows right down. One day, you drive to Alleppey and board a private houseboat for a day cruise past canals, rice fields, coconut groves and village jetties, with Kerala fish curry cooked on board. Back at the resort, you have time for the beach, a bicycle ride through the villages or an Ayurvedic massage.

South Goa: churches, crescent bays and sunsets

An evening flight takes you to Goa, where you stay three nights at Taj Exotica on quiet Benaulim beach, its gardens running down to the sand. With a guide, you visit Old Goa, once the capital of Portuguese India, with the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Se Cathedral, then stroll the colourful lanes of Fontainhas in Panjim. Another day takes you south to the clifftop fort of Cabo de Rama, the long, empty sands of Agonda and palm-fringed Palolem for a seafood lunch.

Mamallapuram: the shore temple

After a night in Chennai, you follow the scenic East Coast Road along the Bay of Bengal. At Mamallapuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pallava kings built the Shore Temple right on the sand in the 8th century and carved huge rock reliefs and the Five Rathas from single blocks of stone.

Puducherry: French streets by the Bay of Bengal

Your final three nights are in Puducherry, a French settlement from 1674 until 1954. You walk the quiet morning streets of the French Quarter, with their French names, ochre-and-white villas, the old lighthouse and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, and pass the peaceful Sri Aurobindo Ashram. In the afternoon, you visit Auroville and its golden Matrimandir. On your last full day, a short boat ride from Chunnambar takes you to Paradise Beach, followed by a free afternoon and a farewell dinner at a French restaurant.

WHY BOOK THIS WITH BIZAREXPEDITION

An 11-day private beach journey along three coasts, planned and run by BizareXpedition from arrival at Kochi to departure from Chennai.

  • One direction, west to east. The route runs Kochi, Kerala coast, Goa, Chennai, Puducherry, so no stretch is covered twice.

  • Two flights remove the long roads. Kochi to Goa is about 800 km by road, and Goa to Chennai is more than 1,000 km. Each flight takes under two hours.

  • Three coasts, three different beaches. Quiet sand in Kerala, a long wide shore in Goa, and a rocky seafront promenade in Puducherry.

  • Three nights where the beach is the point. Goa and Puducherry each have three nights, so there is room for a rest day by the sea.

  • Named hotels, three room levels. The five stays are used at every tier. The tier changes the room, not the hotel.

Best Time for a Beach Holiday in South India

The best time for this tour is mid-November to February. Days are dry and sunny, Goa's sea is calm and the Kerala backwaters are at their best. March is hot but still pleasant by the sea. April and May are hot and humid on all three coasts. June to September is the monsoon: Kerala and Goa get heavy rain, the sea turns rough and many Goan beach shacks close, so we do not recommend it. From October to mid-November, the east coast around Chennai and Puducherry can see heavy rain and occasional cyclones.

PRACTICAL NOTES

  • Temple, church and monastery rules: Cover shoulders and knees, and remove shoes at temples. Where a Hindu temple limits non-Hindu visitors, we plan around the gateway and outer areas. Rules can change, and we check before each visit.

  • Clothing: Light cotton, a hat and sunscreen. Swimwear for the beaches, and a cover-up for villages and churches.

  • Driving: No drive is longer than about 5 hours. Day 8 is the longest, with a stop at Mamallapuram.

  • The flights: The Kochi to Goa and Goa to Chennai flights are separate domestic tickets, each with one evening nonstop. We book them with the package and confirm timings before you travel.

  • Swimming: Currents are strong on the Kerala, Goa and Puducherry coasts, and lifeguards are limited. Swim only where your guide or the hotel says it is safe.

  • Sun and heat: The sun is strong all year. Drink water often and plan beach time for morning and late afternoon.

  • Safety: South India is among the easier regions of India to travel in. Our team is reachable 24 hours.

  • Drinking water: Drink bottled or filtered water only. Your vehicle and hotels provide it.

  • Photography: Rules differ at each temple, church and palace. Drones cannot be flown by foreign visitors.

  • Alcohol: Served at the hotels. Goa's rules are relaxed. Kerala and Tamil Nadu have dry days.

  • Tipping: Not compulsory. As a rough guide: driver Rs.300–500 per day, guides Rs.500 per visit, hotel staff at your discretion.

  • Visa: Most nationalities can apply for an Indian e-Visa online before travel. Allow at least a week.

Itinerary (Day Wise)

Most beach holidays stick to one stretch of coast. This 11-day trip covers three, and each has a different feel. A short flight takes you to South Goa for three nights on Benaulim beach, a day at the old churches of Old Goa and long, lazy afternoons at Agonda and Palolem. You then fly east and drive the coast road past the Shore Temple at Mamallapuram to Puducherry. There you stay three nights among the yellow French villas, with time for Auroville and a boat trip to Paradise Beach. No drive is longer than about five hours, and the route never doubles back, so most of your time goes to the beaches and the food.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) & People Also Ask — Triple Coast Beach Hopping: Kerala, Goa Puducherry

We help you prepare for your trip and ensure an effortless and enjoyable travel experience.

How many days do you need for a Kerala Goa Puducherry tour?

Eleven days is enough to enjoy all three coasts at an easy pace. This plan gives one night in Fort Kochi, two on the Kerala coast, three in Goa, one in Chennai and three in Puducherry. With three more days, add Munnar or Hampi.

What is a triple coast beach hopping trip for foreigners?

It is one trip along three coastlines with different characters. Kerala has quiet beaches and backwaters, Goa has long sandy beaches and Portuguese churches, and Puducherry has a French seafront and a rocky shore. You travel with a private driver and a guide, and stay in five hotels.

Is this a south India beach combined package for swimmers?

Goa and Marari have the best sea for swimming, when the sea is calm in the dry months. Puducherry's beaches are rough and better for walking. The resorts have pools. Currents are strong on all three coasts, and lifeguards are limited, so we advise on safe places each day.

What is the best time to take this tour?

November to February is the best time. Days are dry and sunny, the sea in Goa is calm, and the backwaters are at their best. March is hot, April and May are very hot, and June to September is the monsoon, when many Goa beach shacks are closed and the sea is rough.

Why do you fly from Kochi to Goa and from Goa to Chennai?

Kochi to Goa is about 800 km by road, and Goa to Chennai is more than 1,000 km. Each flight takes under two hours and replaces a full day or more of driving. Both are evening nonstops, and we book them with the package.

Why does the route stay a night in Chennai?

The Goa to Chennai flight lands at about 9 pm. The drive to Puducherry takes 4 to 5 hours with stops, so a night in Chennai lets you start rested and see Mamallapuram on the way. If the flight time changes, we adjust the plan.

Do we sleep on a houseboat in Alleppey?

No. This plan has a day cruise on a private houseboat and nights at a beach resort. If you want a night on the water, we can add it. An overnight stay adds one night in Alleppey before or after the beach.

Which airports do we use?

You fly into Kochi (COK) and out of Chennai (MAA). Inside India, you fly from Kochi to Goa (GOI) and from Goa to Chennai. If you land at Mopa in North Goa, tell us, as the transfer is much longer.

How much does an 11-day Kerala Goa Puducherry tour cost?

This 11-day trip costs about Rs.443,520 to Rs.479,002 per couple in the Premium room tier, about Rs.544,320 to Rs.587,866 for Luxury, and about Rs.768,600 to Rs.830,088 for Ultra-Luxury. Prices include the five hotels, the two flights, vehicles, guides, entries and GST. International flights are not included.

Do we need a visa for India?

Yes. Most nationalities can apply for an Indian e-Visa online before travel. Check which airports accept e-Visa arrivals for your nationality, and apply at least a week ahead on the official e-Visa site.

Can we add Munnar, Hampi or Mysuru?

Yes. Munnar fits between Kochi and the beach, with a longer drive. Hampi and Mysuru fit as an extension after Goa, by flight to Bengaluru. Tell us your dates and we will price the extra nights.
