Early morning start drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning after an early breakfast, drive towards Gangotri. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the holy river Ganges, (also known as Bhagirathi). After offering prayers drive back to Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel for overnight stay.
(The holy Gangotri temple is located at this sacred town. It is believed that at this place River Ganges descended on the earth after severe penance of King Bhagirathi. The Gangotri Temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa in the early 18th century. The Ganges originates from Gaumakh which is accessible after 19 Kms trek from Gangotri. During winters temple remain inaccessible due to heavy snowfall so the statue of Goddess Ganges is brought down to Mukhba, a small village in Harsil which lies on the way to the Gangotri Shrine.)
After breakfast drive to Haridwar. Enroute visit Rishikesh famous places l.e. Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat. On arrival, Haridwar trip ends here.

- The best time to visit Gangotri is during the summer months of May and June. After that, the monsoon season arrives, bringing heavy rainfall that affects the roads. Alternatively, you can visit during autumn, from late September to November, when the crowds are smaller than in the summer.
- This also depends on your preference, but for a good darshan experience, it's recommended to plan a 2-3 day trip. If you want to add more sightseeings, you can extend your itinerary accordingly.
- Delhi is 500 km away from Gangotri. If you're traveling from Delhi to Gangotri, a 4-day trip is usually the most suitable option.
