Board your Volvo/AC Semi-Sleeper bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi, and begin an overnight journey towards the mountains of Himachal. The route follows smooth national highways, passing through Panipat, Chandigarh, and Bilaspur en route to Manali. On arrival in Manali, check into the hotel and relax in the cool Himalayan climate. After getting refreshed, begin your day with a serene exploration of Manali’s heritage and nature. Visit the peaceful Hadimba Temple, surrounded by giant deodar trees, and later head towards the traditional village of Vashisht, known for its natural hot water springs and old wooden houses.

Pass through forests and orchards until you reach Marhi, and then continue to Rohtang Pass (13,058 ft) for sweeping views of the Pir Panjal range and glaciers. Descending from Rohtang, enter Sissu and stop for Sissu Waterfall Viewpoint, Sissu Lake, and the Sissu Monastery. Continue further to Goghla Fort, a small historic site overlooking the valley. Proceed to Tandi to see the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers and refuel at the last major petrol point. Finally, drive to Keylong, check into your hotel, and spend the evening at leisure. After breakfast, start your early journey from Keylong along the Bhaga River to Jispa, known for its silent meadows and glacier-fed views. Continue to Darcha, the last inhabited village—take a short tea break for acclimatisation. Proceed towards Zing Zing Bar, a high-altitude halt with barren landscapes, icy winds, and small cafés. The route then opens into the stunning Suraj Tal, one of India’s highest lakes, famous for its turquoise waters and dramatic mountain backdrop. A short climb brings you to Baralacha La (16,040 ft), a spectacular high pass with year-round snow patches and 360° Himalayan views. Descend to Deepak Tal, known for its crystal-clear reflections and peaceful surroundings. Return to Jispa for a late lunch, then continue through Keylong towards Tandi, where the Chandra–Bhaga Sangam offers an impressive viewpoint.
