About

India’s most loved first-time route, with one big difference: two nights in the forest and three chances to see a wild Bengal tiger.

You see the Taj Mahal as the sun comes up, walk the forts and palaces of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, and then head into Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places in India to spot tigers in daylight. You travel in your own private car with the same driver for all eight days, and a licensed English-speaking guide at every major site. No coaches, no group buses, no strangers sharing your safari jeep.

What is this tour?

The Golden Triangle with Ranthambore is an 8-day private tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur that adds two nights at Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan. It includes the Taj Mahal at sunrise, Fatehpur Sikri, three open-jeep tiger safaris, Amber Fort and the City Palace. Prices start from about Rs. 1,40,600 per person (twin sharing, Premium hotels). The tour runs from October to June, because the park closes for the monsoon from July to September.

Who This Tour Is For

This trip suits you if you want the classic sights of North India but also want something wilder than monuments alone. It works well for:

  • First-time visitors to India who want an easy, well-paced introduction with someone looking after the details.

  • Couples and honeymooners who would like a palace hotel in Jaipur and a quiet forest lodge instead of four busy cities in a row.

  • Families with older children, for whom a tiger safari is often the part of the trip they remember most.

  • Wildlife and photography fans who want more than one safari, so a quiet drive is not the end of the story.

It is less suited to travellers who dislike early starts, since the Taj sunrise and the morning safaris both begin before or around dawn. If that sounds like you, tell us and we will adjust the pace.

The Tiger Safari: An Honest Guide

Most travellers book this tour for one reason: the tiger. So here is the plain truth before you decide.

Will I definitely see a tiger?

No one can promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Tigers are wild animals. Some of our guests see one on their first drive. Others see leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, marsh crocodiles and dozens of bird species, but no tiger. The park does not publish official sighting rates, so we do not quote a percentage.

How we improve your chances

  • Three drives, not one. You get an afternoon safari and two morning safaris across two days. If one drive is quiet, the next is only hours away.

  • Early booking. Safari seats are sold on the official forest department portal. Our team books the moment your dates are confirmed and the portal opens.

  • A private gypsy. Your safari jeep is booked for your party only, with a trained forest guide on board. You can stay still and quiet when it matters.

How the zones work

Ranthambore has ten safari zones. Zones 1 to 5 are the core area and the busiest. Zones 6 to 10 sit in the buffer area. The forest department assigns your zone for each drive, so neither you, your lodge nor any tour company can pick it. We tell you each zone as soon as it is confirmed.

If a safari is cancelled

The park can cancel drives for weather or official closures. If that happens, we help you rebook wherever the portal allows, and any refund follows the park’s own rules, which we explain clearly at booking.

ACCOMMODATION CATEGORIES

Tier names only. Rooms are twin share or double. Where a cell names a category in place of a hotel name, the ground team confirms the property at booking. Hotel names are subject to availability on your dates, and tented camps are open in the cooler months only.

WHY BOOK THIS WITH BIZAREXPEDITION

Guests who add a tiger safari to the Golden Triangle want three things: clear facts about the safaris, a smooth road, and hotels that suit both cities and forest. Here is how this route delivers each one.

  • Three safaris, planned and booked for you. The plan has one safari each on the morning of Day 5, the afternoon of Day 5 and the morning of Day 6. Our team books the vehicles on the official park portal and confirms the zones before you travel. Zones are assigned by the forest department, and we tell you the zones as soon as we know them.

  • Straight facts about tigers. A section below sets out the safari timings, the zone system, the park’s closure in the monsoon and what a sighting depends on. Nobody can promise a tiger, and the plan is built to give you the best spread of drives we can book.

  • One private vehicle with bottled water on board. The same driver and car stay with you for all eight days. Sealed bottled water is in the car every day, and the guide keeps a first-aid kit and your hotel addresses in one place.

  • Met at the airport, handed over at the airport. A named driver and guide meet you at Delhi arrivals on Day 1. On Day 8 the same driver takes you to the departure terminal at a time that suits your flight.

  • Licensed guides who stop the touting. At the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri you are escorted from vehicle to gate and back. You never need to answer the people who approach you at the gates, and the guide arranges everything from tickets to shoe covers.

  • Direct ground operator. BizareXpedition Services Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U63090UR2016PTC007433), based in Haridwar, runs this route itself, with hotels, vehicle and guides booked directly, and a 24-hour contact number is shared before you land.

Golden Triangle with Ranthambore Safari 3-Tier Pricing Summary

Rates are indicative and modelled on BizareXpedition’s current package pricing reference, not a live quote or a contracted rate. The final price varies within the range with hotel and safari availability on your dates, and is highest around Christmas, New Year and Diwali, and in the peak tiger months of April to June.

THE TIGER SAFARI: WHAT TO EXPECT

Ranthambore is one of the better-known parks in India for seeing tigers by day, and tigers there are sometimes seen walking near lakes and old walls. They are wild animals, so every drive is different. These are the facts that decide what you see.

  • No guarantee. No tour company, lodge or park can promise a sighting. Some guests see a tiger on the first drive, and some see leopard, sloth bear, sambar, crocodile and many birds but no tiger. Estimates of the chance per drive vary widely between tour companies, and the park does not publish a sighting rate, so we do not quote a percentage.

  • More drives help. Each drive is a separate chance. This plan has three over three days, with an afternoon drive and two mornings, so a quiet drive is followed by another within a day.

  • Zones are random. The park has ten numbered zones. Zones 1 to 5 are the core area and are the busiest, and zones 6 to 10 are in the buffer area. The forest department assigns a zone for each booked drive, and neither guests nor lodges choose it. Our team books as early as the portal allows, and you are told each zone as soon as it is confirmed.

  • The vehicle. Safaris run in open six-seat jeeps called gypsies, or in 20-seat canters. This plan uses a gypsy for the two of you, booked for the whole vehicle, so you are not sharing with strangers. A trained forest guide rides along on every drive, and our own guide meets you at the lodge.

  • Season and timing. The park is closed from July to September for the monsoon and reopens on 1 October. Drives run in the early morning and in the afternoon, and the exact hours are set by the park and change by month. The hot months of April to June are often cited as the best time to see tigers at waterholes, but days can pass 40°C. October to March is cooler and greener, with sightings less frequent but still possible.

  • What we do on our side. We book the best-available drives, keep the afternoon and morning timings, and leave a rest period between them. If a drive is cancelled by the park for weather or a closure, we help to rebook it where the portal allows, and any refund follows the park’s own rules.

Closed

July – September

Ranthambore is closed to safaris for the monsoon. This tour does not run in these months, and the cities alone can be visited on request.

PRACTICAL NOTES

  • Visa: most Western visitors apply online for an India e-Tourist visa at indianvisaonline.gov.in. Apply early and check the current rules for your nationality.

  • Taj Mahal Fridays: the Taj is closed every Friday. If your dates clash, we reorder the Agra days so you still see it.

  • What to wear on safari: neutral colours like green, brown and grey, warm layers in winter, and a hat and sunscreen in summer.

  • Cameras: bring a zoom lens if you have one. Drones are not allowed in the park.

  • Food and water: drink only sealed bottled water and choose freshly cooked hot food. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy needs are easy to arrange.

  • Flights home: the last day is a 5–6 hour drive from Jaipur to Delhi airport, so book a flight leaving after 8 p.m., or ask us about departing from Jaipur.

  • Health: speak to your doctor or a travel clinic four to six weeks before you leave.

Itinerary (Day Wise)

The trip ends in Jaipur at Amber Fort and the City Palace. One driver and car stay with you for all eight days, and a licensed guide meets you at every major site. You leave Agra at about 9:30 and stop at Fatehpur Sikri, about 40 km away, for roughly 90 minutes. The Hawa Mahal comes next, built in 1799 with 953 small windows. After lunch you visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed observatory built between 1728 and 1734. The day ends at an artisan family’s workshop, where you watch block printing and can print your own cloth.

  3. Respect Wildlife and Natural Habitats : Avoid disturbing wildlife or their natural habitats. Stick to designated paths and observe animals from a distance without feeding or touching them.
  4. Dispose of Waste Properly : Follow local guidelines for recycling and waste disposal. If facilities aren't available, carry your waste with you until you can dispose of it responsibly.
  5. Educate Yourself and Others : Learn about the local environment, culture, and customs. Respect local practices and traditions, and share your knowledge about responsible travel with others.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) & People Also Ask — Golden Triangle with Ranthambore Safari

We help you prepare for your trip and ensure an effortless and enjoyable travel experience.

Will we see a tiger?

Nobody can promise it. Ranthambore is one of the better parks in India for seeing tigers by day, and this plan has three safaris over three days to give you more chances. Some guests see a tiger on the first drive, and some see other animals and no tiger. The park does not publish a sighting rate, so we do not quote a percentage.

How many safaris are included, and in what vehicle?

Three: the morning and afternoon of Day 5, and the morning of Day 6. They run in an open six-seat gypsy booked for the whole vehicle, so it is just the two of you, or your party, with a forest guide and a driver. Extra safaris can be added if the portal has availability.

Can we choose the safari zone?

No. The park has ten zones, and the forest department assigns one for each booked drive. Zones 1 to 5 are the core area, and zones 6 to 10 are in the buffer area. Our team books as early as the portal allows and tells you each zone when it is confirmed.

When is the best time to see tigers?

April to June is often cited as the best time at waterholes, but days can pass 40°C. October to March is cooler and greener, and sightings are less frequent but still possible. The park is closed from July to September.

What happens if a safari is cancelled?

The park can cancel drives for weather or a closure. We help to rebook where the portal allows, and refunds follow the park’s own rules, which we explain at booking.

How long are the drives?

Delhi to Agra is about four hours. Day 4 is the longest, with about six to seven hours including a long stop at Fatehpur Sikri. Ranthambore to Jaipur is about three and a half to four hours, and Jaipur to Delhi airport about five to six.

Can I visit the Taj Mahal on a Friday?

No. The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday. If your Day 4 falls on a Friday, we swap Agra Fort and the Taj between Days 3 and 4, and your guide confirms this on Day 1.

Is it a private tour or a group tour?

It is a private tour with your own car, driver and guide, with no coaches. Your party is the only one in the vehicle, including on safari.

What kind of hotels will we stay in?

Premium uses well-reviewed hotels with Taj views in Agra and a safari lodge in Ranthambore. Luxury names The Claridges, Oberoi Vanyavilas and Jai Mahal Palace, and Ultra-Luxury names The Imperial, The Oberoi Amarvilas, Aman-i-Khás and Rambagh Palace. Hotel names are subject to availability, and tented camps close in the hot months.

Where does the tour end, and when should I fly?

It ends with a drive from Jaipur to Delhi airport on Day 8, which takes about five to six hours. We recommend an international flight leaving after 8 p.m. You can ask for a Jaipur departure or a Jaipur to Delhi flight instead.

Is India safe for first-time visitors?

Yes, with sensible precautions. Violent crime against tourists is rare, and the usual problems are petty theft in crowds and pressure from touts. You travel in a private car with a guide, and the hotels are chosen for comfort and location.

How much does the tour cost?

The modelled price for this 8-day tour is Rs.281,100–Rs.303,600 per couple at Premium, Rs.458,800–Rs.495,500 at Luxury and Rs.795,200–Rs.858,800 at Ultra-Luxury, twin sharing. That is about Rs.140,600–Rs.151,800, Rs.229,400–Rs.247,800 and Rs.397,600–Rs.429,400 per person. These are indicative ranges, not a live quote.
