How to Reach the Starting Point: Bangalore to Dehradun/Haridwar
By Flight: Whether you want to Kedarnath, Badrinat, Gangorti or Chardham from Bangalore, your journey typically begins by reaching either Delhi, Dehradun, or Haridwar. The first best option is direct flight from Bangalore to Dehradun, it saves lots of time. The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the closest airport from where you can start your yatra.
If you don't get direct flights then there are frequent flights from Bangalore to Delhi which you can take. Once you reach Delhi take a train like Shatabdi Express, Vander Bharat or take a taxi to Haridwar, Dehradun. After completion of the Delhi Dehradun Expressway, it would take just 2-3 hours to reach Delhi to Dehradun.
By Train: You can also reach Delhi by train but it is tiring because it continues a 36 to 40 hours long journey by train then again a 10-11 day road journey on hills. It will be quite exhausting and the body feels lots of pressure.
But for information here are some trains which run from Bangalore to Delhi -

Are any Flights from Bangalore to Dehradun or Delhi
There are few direct flights from Bangalore to Dehradun available by IndiGo and Air India on select days only. The average one-way flight tickets cost will vary from Rs 8,000-11,000/ticket, on weekends the prices are at higher side.
Jolly Grant Airport is relatively small compared to other airports; still, there are efficient means of transportation to Rishikesh & Haridwar. The pickup facility from the airport has been pre-arranged for all of BizareXpedition’s guests.
On the way back: flying back to Delhi from Dehradun rather than Delhi will save you the trouble of a long and exhausting journey after completing a 15-day yatra.
Bangalore – Delhi (IGI Airport)
Several airlines; several flights per day; lower costs - you should opt for Delhi if you are flexible when it comes to the land journey. You may want to take an early flight to reach Delhi by 9-10 AM and arrive at Rishikesh or Haridwar in the evening. This way you will not waste a day.
How this Package helpful for Senior Citizens
The Chardham Yatra is not a young person's journey. It never was. Most of the people who have done it, who do it, who have the most powerful experiences on it — are older. They've waited decades for this. They've earned it.
That said, the Char dham yatra package for Senior citizens from Bangalore needs to be planned differently from a standard group tour. Not because older pilgrims are less capable, but because the mountains don't care about your determination. Altitude sickness hits indiscriminately. The Kedarnath trail is steep. The roads through Uttarakhand are often unpredictable.
BizareXpedition's senior citizen package is built around three things: more rest days, confirmed physical assistance (doli, pony, palki — not promised, confirmed), and medical support on standby.
What About the Char Dham Helicopter Package From Bangalore?
As far as the helicopter package is concerned, you will fly from Bangalore to Dehradun, stay at Haridwar/Rishikesh overnight and start your helicopter round the next morning either from the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun or from respective helipads on the way.
Now coming back to the char dham helicopter package from Bangalore, this tour is organized into a 5 to 6-day experience; small but luxurious and definitely much easier than going through the entire road route. It includes visits to all dhams -Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Cost for the helicopter tour starts at INR 2,45,000 per person. Obviously yes, this is a bit pricey compared to road travel. But for the people around 60s/70s who cannot walk that 16-kilometer distance up Kedarnath valley, it is the best option for them. Also the package included all premium stay with 3 time meals, and VIP Darshan at all four dhams.

When to travel for the Chardham Yatra?
Yatra starts on Akshaya tritiya, mid April or first week of May. Generally the best time for yatra is May-June and Sept Oct. During this time the weather is pleasant, nature on its blooms and give best yatra experience.
May to Mid-June — Opening Season - High on energy, moderate on comfort. The temples have just reopened and there's a buzz to the whole region. Weather is cool, trails are manageable, snowmelt adds to the river drama. Also the busiest period — Kedarnath base camp can feel like a crowded town. Book well ahead if you're coming in May.
Mid-June to August — Monsoon - This is the time of monsoon, not safe for travel. Avoid family trips, if you’re travelling with senior citizens or children. Heavy rainfall leads, frequent road blocks, landslides that create unnecessary problems and delays in yatra. the Himalayas in monsoon are astonishing. Waterfalls everywhere. The mountains are deeply green. The temples are quieter. We operate during monsoon but always with updated risk assessment and a flexible itinerary.
September to late October ( The Best Window) - One of the best times for yatra. Less crowded. Easily get the darshan, prices are lesser compared to May June. Greenery, clear sky, pure bliss.

Specialized Packages Tailored to Your Needs
To select a Chardham yatra package from Bangalore, travelers must identify a tour operator that accounts for specific cultural and physical needs.
Comfortable tour for Seniors - For older devotees, high altitudes and long walking distances often cause difficulty. In response a specific Chardham yatra package for senior citizens from Bangalore focuses on ease of movement - those options include rooms on ground floors, medical staff who are available for calls plus passes that allow for priority entry at temples. The travel schedule is slow so that participants have time to rest.
Premium Helicopter Packages - By choosing a Chardham helicopter package from Bangalore, individuals who have limited time or cannot complete difficult walks can finish the journey. It is possible to complete the full circuit within 4 - 6 days. When a traveler compares a helicopter tour with trekking, the helicopter is efficient and provides views from the air - but trekking allows for a slow experience where the traveler is close to the Himalayan environment.
Food - As South Indian travelers often find it hard to eat North Indian meals for two weeks, BizareXpedition try to provide South Indian food where its possible. During yatra simple satvik food is served in the whole circuit. Finding south indian food here is quite difficult. Those who have options of south Indian taste we definitely add in the package. With the meals travelers eat food that is familiar to them during the entire journey.
