Abbott Mount is secluded & serene hill station situated at 08 Kms from Lohaghat in Champawat. The place was established by British businessman John Harold Abbott in 20 Century. This place is drenched in heavenly natural beauty. The serene forest of deodar and pine covering undulating valleys of Shivalik mountain ranges catching the sight of dazzling snow-clad peaks makes its exotic location for all visitors. The pleasant weather & healthy environment of the place nurtures variety of Himalayan birds & butterflies especially during summers. Fishing and trekking are few activities available in Abbott Mount. Abbot Mount is also counted among one of India’s most haunted places. It is believed that during 1920, a British doctor by name Morrison used to performed some sinister deeds with the local people & the spirits of those people still haunt the place.
