About The Package

Dodital Trek is a picturesque lake trek, surrounded by the dense deodar forest located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The crystal clear Dodital lake is known for golden Himalayan Trout fish; other than this Dodital is also considered as the Abode of Lord Ganesha. It is believed that this is the place where Lord Ganesha was born. The Dodital trek is a paradise for nature lovers especially for bird watchers during summers, One can spot the rarest Himalayan Birds

And also it looks like heaven in winters after a snowfall that's why it is quite popular as Dodital winter trek.
In most of the other Himalayan lake treks, only professional trekkers are allowed but, Dodital Lake Trek is an ideal for the initial level hiker those who are trekking for the first time. The overall distance of Dodital Trekking is approx 40-45 km which starts from Sangam Chatti, Bebra, Dodital, and back with the same route. But if someone wants to do Dodital Darwa Trek then in that particular case the starting will be the same, but the return will be from Darwa Pass and reach to Hanuman Chatti.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar/Dehradun - SangamChatti (by drive 170 kms/08 hrs) & Sangamchatti - Bhevra (Trek- 03 Hrs)
Pick up early morning & drive to SangamChatti which will take approx 08 hrs. The Sangamchatti is at a distance of 15 km from Uttarkashi. On arrival begin the trek to Bhevra Campsite. The trail comprises of gradual ascends through terraced paddy fields & small village, Agoda. Further, continue trek to reach the Bhevra village which will take 03 hrs. Enjoy camping at Bhevra.
Day 2 Bhevra - Dodital (3315m) - trek 9 hrs approx
After early breakfast starts the trek to reach Dodital. It is an easy laid trail through the dense forest of oak, deodar and pine trees. Enjoy traversing the valleys & the moraine ridges. You reach Manjhi village after hiking of 7 hrs, where you can relax & enjoy the lunch. Post lunch continues the trek for the next 2 hrs to reach Dodital which is 05 Kms beyond to Manjhi. Base the camp nearby lake to enjoy surreal & salubrious surroundings. Overnight stay at Camp/Tent.
Day 3 Dodital-darwa pass (4200m) to Darwa top (4350m): kanasar (3850m)-trek 4-5hrs.
After breakfast starts an uphill trek to Darwa pass the trek route is steep so walking carefully and bit slow is advisable. Darwa pass is located at a height of 4200 meters above sea level and then we proceed to Darwa top located at an altitude of 4350 meters and 300 meters uphill from Darwa pass, just an hour time from the Darwa top where you will witness the panoramic 360-degree view of Mighty Himalayan ranges capped with snow. Steep gradient trek which gets through meadows dotted with snow, narrow valley, moraines & rocky terrains. You will get a fantastic view of Banderpunch massive, Kala Nag, Kedarkantha Gangotri & Swaragrohini peaks. Overnight camp kanasar.
Day 4 Kanasar- Kandoli (2350m) trek 5-6hrs.
After breakfast retrace back which is mainly downhill and the trail passes through a grassy carpeted meadow with spectacular views of the Bandarpunch rangs all day long. After Seema, we will make the final descent to our campsite at kandoli through lush forests of Himalayan oak and rhododendron. Overnight camp kandoli.
Day 5 Kandoli-Hanumanchatti (2400m): Drive-Dehradun.
We will start to descend toward Hanumanchatti, the trail passes mainly through thick forest, on arrival at Hanumanchatti we will start long drive of 6 hours to reach Dehradun to connect for the onward destination
