Rudraprayag - Fourth Prayag

Rudraprayag is located at confluence of Mandakini river & Alaknanda river & situated 34 Kms ahead to Srinagar. As per mythology, it is believed that at Koteshwar caves Lord Shiva had prayed to Lord Vishnu to kill demon Bhasmasur & latter pleased by his prayers & killed demon.
