The route map of Kedarnath yatra from Rishikesh is as follows - Driving parallel to the Ganga through Shivpuri and Byasi, leading to Devprayag. Then it passes by Srinagar, Dhari Devi mandir, Rudraprayag and then the route follows the Mandakini River via Agastyamuni, Kund, and Guptkashi, then continues to Sonprayag and last Gaurikund to start the trek. From here begins the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Dham.

Kedarnath Rishikesh Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Early morning drive from Rishikesh to Guptkashi/Phata/Sersi/Sonprayag and stay.

Day 2: Drop to the helipad (if tickets are booked) or drop to the last point in Sonprayag, where private vehicle allowed. Take a taxi shuttle to Gaurikund (50-60 rupees per head) and start a 16-18 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Dham and stay there.

Day 3: After divine Darshan, trek back to Guptkashi and stay in a hotel.

Day 4: Check out and drive back to Rishikesh.

There are very limited Hotels and staying options in Kedarnath; and those that are available are very basic, only for a night stay. Because of the remote location, accommodations are simple like a tent, dormitory, guest house and dharamshalas. Most rooms are shared (4-6 beds) with basic amenities, and services such as hot water may be extra.
